School Director – Bank of Candidates

NATURE OF WORK:

The Centre de services scolaire du Littoral is currently accepting applications for full-time principal positions for its schools located on Québec’s Lower North Shore.

The schools organize preschool, primary and secondary services in English and French.

The position requires a candidate with strong administrative and pedagogical leadership. The candidate must possess a strong knowledge of all Québec education programs and resources and must have the capacity to adapt all requirements to meet the needs of small multi-level and multi-age schools.

The position includes the management of instructional and educational matters as well as human, financial, material and computer resources.

Finally, the candidate must acknowledge the need to establish strong community ties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree in Education or its equivalent.
•  A graduate university program including a minimum of 30 credits in administration related to a senior staff position in a school.
• Eight (8) years of relevant experience, including five (5) years of teaching experience and a permanent teaching license issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur.
• Strong knowledge of all Québec education programs, regulations and requirements.
• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must be available to travel.

SALARY:

The salary is determined in accordance with the rate established for school administrators/principals
(between $ 84 101 and $ 112 133).
