Parents’ Committee

The Parents’ Committee is composed of elected representatives from each governing board of the Centre de services scolaire du Littoral. The representatives speak on behalf of the parents of the school they represent.

The functions of the Parents’ Committee are, among others:

  • To promote parents’ participation in the activities of the school and of the school service centre and, to that end, to designate parents to take part in the various committees established by the school service centre;
  • To advise the school service centre on the special school projects offered or considered in its schools and on any matter on which it must be consulted;
  • To inform the school service centre of parents’ needs as identified by the school representatives and by the representative of the Advisory committee on services for handicapped students and students with social maladjustments or learning disabilities.
